Well anyway I had an interesting conversation with Jaclyn on the phone today to say the least.

I just got back from the University of Dayton, and I wish one thing, if it were closer, I'd make all of my friends look there and stay a night. At least look there and you'll see why it's such a great college, and takes the experince further than most other places.
3 Stats say something about it:
#5 in number of students in intramural sports
#5 in number of hours of community done by students
#4 Party school (2003 i think)

Yeah. Oh the dean I spoke with, said that I'm in as long as I keep a 3.0 average. He also said a lot of stuff that made me feel special, like the fact that I fit in a category that less than 5% of engineers do, I'm one of the outside the box style guys, and i'm passionate in a different way about it since nobody in my family has tried it before.

So i'm in college!!!!!!!!!!!! (unoffically)

Hey guys, well nothing too much new, other than the fact that schools is back in session. So anyway that being said, theres a couple things out there on the internet that I've found that can save your ass more often than not, if anything it'll speed life up.

Nothing is more annoying than writing a paper and then being slapped in the face because you didn't format it right. There are some things out there to help you!

MLA Format Templates!

Download these and you'll just have to fill in the stuff in the right places and you'll be good
If you use Microsoft Word, click here

If you know how to use templates, use this, if you don't know what this is, just use the thing above.

These all work similarly, easy to use, I've had a lot of success with WorksCited4U

Well, with MLA covered, lets go into the lesser known world, of Web-Based Applications!, so this is a growing field in the web industry, and there are a lot of great uses for it. Basically what you do is you work on a paper in your internet browser, and don't worry about downloading it and using word. Just type it when you can, save it, work on it again, save it to word or something, format it the way you want (or just copy/paste it into one of the MLA templates) and print it, it makes life simpler if you like to do work at school like me.

Writely - This was bought out by google back in March I think, I've been using it for my word processing primarily since January. I just type it, and no matter what computer I'm on, I know I can access it, it's pretty easy to use, just sign up for an account, or give me a shout.
Google Spreadsheets - Very quite since it was released as a beta, this is sort of like an excel, but online, works the same as Writely pretty much, just save and go. and then export to program of choice if you'd like.

Oh, if you haven't yet, Get a fucking Gmail account. It's getting better by the day, and the best thing is, if your in school and logged into gmail, it's got a nifty chat feature so you can IM while in class. IM me at conor.ryan@gmail.com it's the greatest, and rumor has it, AIM support is on the way. (so you'll be on AIM and Gtalk at the same time!)

Gmail is also great because it's fast, and it'll handle all your files that you need to email to yourself easily.

I saw a moose today.

Well anyway I'm up here at Lake Champlain, borrowing my neighbor's Wifi and looking out on a very nice day today. It's pretty nice out here, I've been fishing and boating, a lot of boating. We have a paddleboat thats a pretty good substitute for a bike, although it is pretty uncomfortable when you get going, and there is no gear reduction either so its not the most efficent thing in the world. Soo at night it gets bored, so I go online. Yesterday I seconded guessed my being on line after I had a conversation with an anonymous friend.

Friend: you, girlfriend yes?
Conor: oui
Friend: ok
Friend: don't ever make fun of her tampons
Friend: having a girl bleed on you cause she didnt expect bleeding and thus wasn't properly "tampon"d

Wisdom Tooth Removal is a bitch.

Well Canada is off to college, intresting that one of my closest friends is going off, well I hope he has fun, if not we'll be here for the next 12 months, after that he's on his own.

Accepted was funny, if you look at it seriously it sucked, but the thing is it makes fun of the serious. Though there are films that make fun of college like Old School, Animal House and alike, it gave it a pretty good shot. As far as comedy's go, its probably the best one of the year, but if you want to put it in the all-to-serious category as film of the year, some other film that likes to be serious should and probably will win it. Whatever, and to quote Lewis, Fuckin' A, oh btw his next film just looks like it has the perfect role for him in Man of the Year. My money is we don't see it till November when it's all out election season. Oh, this looks interesting, and it leads to this

wow that is easily the longest I have ever gone with an update, sorry guys but I just haven't remembered to. Well enough of that let me update you dudes on my life.

Well, the lovely Jaclyn is still by my side and we've been having a lot of fun just hanging out, at home and around town, i don't remember the last time we actually went somewhere recently though, we've been pretty local. Shes out watching a Shakespere thingie in Princeton with Matt and Dar (who I've happened to spend a lot of time with also recently) I had work at the Gas station (3.03 for Regular, 3.19 for Plus, 3.26 for V-Power, 2.87 for Diesel, and 3.05 for Kerosene but nobody seems to want that stuff anyway) I'm making a good bit of money there but my employment is ending August 21st because thats the day I get my wisdom teeth out (ouch) and the 25th is Jaclyn's Birthday and on the 26th I'm going to lake champlain with my family and she's going on a cruise for a few days, I'll be back later that week.

Well when I'm not working or hanging out with Jaclyn or on a double date with Dar and Matt, I've been hanging out at Sean's with whatever crew shows up there. Airsoft has been pretty popular lately and we've got a crazy set up on the battlegrounds back there. We are really looking for more people to play with (Thursday we got a game set up) and if you have a gun, and we have no limits to what you can use as long as you know how to use it get in contact with me some how and i'll fill you in on details. But yeah Thursday we'll be battlin' in the trenches (there are some really nice trenches too)

As the engineering consultant for the battle field I've worked on the creek dividing the field in two and over saw the creation of Fort Sunshine (it's located opposite of a nuce we strung up, so instead of being depressing, it makes you happy when you say it) the Ho Chi Sean trail (lots of barbed wire) and a couple of other crazy crazy set ups.

As for other news, I hope to get a car soon but my parents (read Dad) are being a pain about it, I got enough money for a car but I'm getting a bunch of shaking heads, my mom wants me to get a car though, but dad is being a pain about it. My criteria is stiff but I've found at least 8 cars in the past 2 weeks that fill it, Less than $5000, Automatic Volvo or Volkswagen, BMW is acceptable. Mileage can vary but as always the less, the better. I'm hoping a VW Diesel (tdi edition) will come within reach because they are soo great to have. They are diesel, so they are always cheaper than Gas, unless we happen to be invading a country (within a week or so after that prices drop down again) cost about 40-45 to fill up and then get about 500-600 miles till they are empty, yeah almost 50mpg, thats about 17.42 miles per dollar. Bang for your buck baby.

Well other than that life has been pretty good, I still need to go to a concert and get a car, but yeah there is still time left in the summer.

Oh almost forgot, my schedule, I've got a meeting with guidance because I don't have engineering, but yeah

Well Shell came through, and I should be picking up my first pay check from them Friday, and I've been working a lot so I think I'll be happy, at least, before taxes. Stop by, park your car and sit around and talk, it's allowed and usually it gets pretty funny.

Oh found this, I think someone may find this helpful one day, yes it's dull at the beginning but its gets VERY intresting about 12 minutes into it when they do the comparison and it shows how different it is when you use your rights. Don't be like the typical American that doesn't know their rights, some don't Vote, and some don't know How to use their constitutional protection.

Update on the Job hunt

So here is whats up with the job hunt lately. So I went to the Shell Station at 206 and 518, I should be talking to somebody there on Monday, so hopefully I'll be pumpin' gas across from WaWa by the beginning of next week, if not sooner. Dar's boyfriend might be working with me too, so we've been thinking of what we could do:

*Matt goes up to car window*
Matt *Yawn like icky fat guy*
Matt: *Yawn too*
Matt: *iches crotch*
Matt: *Rubs belly*
Matt: What can I do for you?
Customer: Regular please

Ok, so maybe they aren't as much fun to read as they were acting out, but its fun.

So....what else have I been up to this weekend?
Friday, I hung out with Jaclyn, went to Phil's, then to applebees, then to Sean's, then something was just not right, and Jaclyn and I made our way over to Dar's for a fun couples (yes only 2) only evening.

Saturday, oh boy, this was the most fun I've had in awhile. So much fun it shoulda been outlawed and found to cause cancer in the state of california. So I played Frisbee at the park, and we had a great showing of about 15 people, great game, and I dropped a lot of big catches. I need to practice. After that we all left, jumped in Phil's pool, then I went and picked up Jaclyn, jumped in the pool again, got really cold and started playing poolside dodgeball. After that Jaclyn had to go home (*tear*) and then we decided that we needed to eat.

So, we were hungry, and whats the best way to feed 7 Teens without breaking the bank and pissing off a ton of customers? Cook. So we did, the rule was, you came, you brought food. So I cooked ribs, burgers, on the grill, then we had dessert all laid out. First we watched Eurotrip though. The more I watch the movie, the more fun it gets. We then had dessert, a whipped cream fight ensued. So funny, I gotta get some video clips uploaded, we were crazy. I was crazy, if that was anything like summer is gonna be, it's gonna be a fun summer. Then we walked down the street half naked. After a little bit of that, I went home and slept.

Why Can't I get a Job?

Everywhere I look, nobody is hiring, or I can't get a job. Gah, I need to start making some money so I can get a car, once that happens, miraculously a third family car may appear in my drive way, or so I hope.
